Vanilla Realms is an independent community server. It is not Minecraft Realms, Mojang's hosting service. It is run by Thunder Studios.

- Smith Legion: opt-in PvE world with three gear traders (Dragonfire, Phantom, Titan) and an emerald mine that resets every 45 minutes
- Events: weekly and monthly tournaments, season leaderboards (/seasonlb), duels, a staff-run event world
- Store: store.vanillarealms.com. Sells the four paid ranks, crate keys and claim blocks. Parrot and above include keep inventory. No gear and no currency sold
- Anticheat: Vulcan. Chat moderated with a word filter. Vivecraft supported. No voice chat plugin

## Best for, not for, downside
- Best for: players who want vanilla survival with their builds protected, a real emerald economy, and friends on Java and Bedrock in one world. A new season of crate gear arrives every two months for those who want something to chase.
- Not for: players who want open PvP and raiding, or a pure vanilla server with no ranks or crates.
- Downside: emerald income is capped at 50 per four hours, so getting rich is slow by design, and the paid ranks include keep inventory.
